The practical consequence is that a November discount is measured against a higher baseline than most price advice assumes. $100 off a $649.99 PS5 is not the offer that $100 off a $499.99 PS5 was. Record the current price of the model you actually want now, and compare later listings against that number rather than against a remembered price or a retailer "was" figure printed next to a deal badge.

Timing is the other half of the decision. Platform-holder Black Friday sales have gone live seven days before Black Friday for three consecutive years, which points at roughly November 20, 2026 — the day after GTA 6 launches.
