GTA 6 Black Friday 2026: will it be on sale?
GTA 6 launches Thursday, November 19, 2026. Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27. Eight days separate them, so the game will still be a launch-window title during the biggest discount weekend of the year — and launch-window Rockstar titles do not get discounted.
There is a deadline inside that gap, and it runs the other way. Rockstar’s own Newswire states that "All Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders and purchases before November 20 will get the Vintage Vice City Pack", so the bonus window shuts a full week before Black Friday. Waiting for a discount that is not coming costs you the pack and the free month of GTA+ listed alongside it, and saves you nothing.
What Black Friday does change is hardware. Console list prices rose twice in 2026, and the gear around the game — consoles, TVs, storage, controllers, headsets — is exactly what discounts hardest that week, most likely from November 20 itself. This page separates the deals that will exist from the ones that will not, with dates.

- Best realistic savingConsole, TV, storage and accessory deals, historically live ~7 days early

Black Friday 2026 plan for GTA 6 buyers
- Order the game before November 20, 2026 or you lose the Vintage Vice City Pack and the GTA+ month. There is no game discount to wait for.
- Buy from PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or a first-party retailer at $79.99 Standard or $99.99 Ultimate.
- Do wait for the week of November 20 if you need a console, TV, SSD, headset, or controller — those categories discount reliably.
- Check console prices against the new 2026 list prices, not against 2024 prices, before calling anything a deal.
- Treat any GTA 6 console bundle as unverified until it appears on the platform holder’s own store or a first-party retailer product page.
- Never pay for GTA 6 in cryptocurrency, gift cards, or through a payment app. No legitimate seller asks for that.
- Set spec baselines from the HeistReady gear guides before deal week, so a "deal" price is on the right product.
Will GTA 6 be discounted on Black Friday 2026?
No — plan to pay full price for the game. GTA 6 releases Thursday, November 19, 2026, and Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, giving the game exactly eight days on sale before the biggest discount weekend of the retail year. Eight days is not a discount window. It is still the launch window, and no publisher discounts a title that is selling at its peak.
Rockstar’s own record is the evidence. Grand Theft Auto V shipped September 17, 2013 and held its price into the holidays; the earliest broad US retail cut HeistReady can date is Black Friday, November 29, 2013, when Walmart listed it at $34 — 73 days after launch. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the closer comparison. It launched October 26, 2018, and by Black Friday on November 23 — 28 days later — the standard edition was still $59.99 at Best Buy and Walmart. The only movement that week was $10 off the Special and Ultimate editions on PlayStation Store and Xbox Store. Forbes summarised it at the time: Rockstar "isn’t really a prolific discounter."
Rockstar does cut prices hard, but on catalogue rather than new releases. When the current-gen version of GTA 5 arrived on March 15, 2022, it launched at $39.99 with an introductory 75% cut on PS5 and 50% on Xbox for the first three months. That is a nine-year-old game being repositioned, not a new release being discounted.
- GTA 5: launched September 17, 2013. First dated broad US retail cut — $34 at Walmart, Black Friday November 29, 2013. Gap: 73 days.
- Red Dead Redemption 2: launched October 26, 2018. On Black Friday November 23, 2018 the standard edition was still $59.99; only premium editions moved $10. Gap: 28 days, no standard-edition cut.
- GTA 6: launches November 19, 2026. Gap to Black Friday: 8 days. Expect $79.99 Standard and $99.99 Ultimate to be the prices you pay.
The 8-day math is the whole answer. RDR2 got 28 days and its standard edition still did not move. GTA 6 gets eight.
The deadline that matters is November 20, not November 27
Two separate things happen on November 20, 2026, and both of them make waiting for Black Friday the wrong move. The first is a hard cutoff Rockstar published itself. Its June 24, 2026 Newswire post states that "All Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders and purchases before November 20 will get the Vintage Vice City Pack", and the PlayStation game page repeats the same deadline as "Pre-order GTAVI from before November 20, 2026." Official store pages list a free month of GTA+ with the same offer. Black Friday is November 27 — seven days after that window closes. A buyer holding out for a Black Friday price pays the same $79.99 and gets less than someone who ordered in August.
The second is the deal calendar, which lands on the same date by coincidence. PlayStation’s Black Friday sale has gone live exactly seven days before Black Friday for three consecutive years: November 17 in 2023, November 22 in 2024, and November 21 in 2025. Seven days before Friday, November 27, 2026 is Friday, November 20. The retailer side starts earlier still — Amazon’s 2025 Black Friday Week opened eight days out, which in 2026 maps to November 19, GTA 6 launch day itself. Microsoft posted its deals on Xbox Wire on November 15 in both 2023 and 2024, with console discounts starting the following week.
Split the two decisions and the page collapses into one instruction. The game is a full-price purchase to complete before November 20. The hardware is a discount purchase to start hunting on November 20. There is no version of this calendar in which waiting until November 27 improves either one: by then the bonus is gone, and the console deals are a week old with stock thinning.
- Nov 12, 2026 (confirmed): digital preload opens, and the boxed copy — a download code in the box, not a disc — reaches shelves.
- Nov 19, 2026 (confirmed): GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Retailer Black Friday weeks are likely already open.
- Nov 20, 2026 (confirmed): preorder and purchase bonuses end. The Vintage Vice City Pack and the GTA+ month stop being attached to new orders.
- Nov 20, 2026 (projected): first-party console and accessory deals go live, based on the seven-day pattern from 2023, 2024 and 2025.
- Nov 26, 2026: Thanksgiving. Nov 27, 2026: Black Friday. Nov 30, 2026: Cyber Monday.
- Dec 1-3, 2026 (projected): sales wind down. Xbox ran through December 3 in 2025 and Sony through December 2 in 2024.
One date does two jobs this year. November 20 is when the preorder bonus disappears and, on three years of precedent, when the console deals appear. Nothing about November 27 beats it.
What actually gets discounted in GTA 6 launch week
The game holds price; everything you play it on does not. Black Friday is the deepest hardware week of the year, and the categories that matter to a GTA 6 setup — display, storage, audio, input — are the ones that discount most predictably. Two things make 2026 unusual. Both console makers raised list prices this year, so the baseline has moved upward rather than downward. And the discount period opens at almost exactly the moment the game launches, so the hardware you want and the hardware deal you were waiting for land in the same week.
Use spec baselines rather than percentage-off signals. A 55% cut on a panel that cannot do 4K at 120Hz is not a GTA 6 deal, and a cheap NVMe drive without the right sustained read speed or a heatsink is not a PS5 upgrade. Set the requirement first from the relevant HeistReady gear guide, then hunt a price against it. History sets a reasonable expectation for depth: in 2025 Sony took $100 off every PS5 model and $20-$30 off DualSense, DualSense Edge and Pulse audio, and Microsoft took $50 off Series X and Series S in both 2023 and 2024.
- TV — the biggest single-category saving. Confirm 4K/120Hz, HDMI 2.1 and VRR before price-hunting. Baseline: /gta-6/best-tv
- PS5 internal storage — NVMe with heatsink and the correct sustained speed. 2TB drives have repeatedly hit their lowest-ever prices in Black Friday week. Baseline: /gta-6/best-storage
- Xbox storage — the Seagate Storage Expansion Card is the only officially supported route for Series X|S game storage, and it reached record lows in 2025. Baseline: /gta-6/best-storage
- Headsets — Sony discounted Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore directly in 2025; third-party headsets go deeper. Baseline: /gta-6/best-headset
- Controllers — Sony took $20 off DualSense and $30 off DualSense Edge in 2025; Microsoft ran $10 off select Xbox Wireless Controllers in 2023 and 2024. Baseline: /gta-6/best-controller
- Consoles — see the next section, and check /gta-6/best-console for which model is worth buying at all after the 2026 price rises.
- Monitors — a niche choice for GTA 6, but the same 120Hz and VRR rules apply. Baseline: /gta-6/best-monitor
Rule for deal week: decide the spec first, then hunt the price. A percentage-off badge on the wrong product is not a saving.
GTA 6 console bundles: how to verify one if it appears
No GTA 6 console bundle appears in any official source HeistReady has checked as of August 3, 2026 — not on PlayStation.com, not on Xbox.com, and not in Rockstar’s preorder Newswire post or the June 24, 2026 PlayStation Blog launch post. Reports of PS5 and PS5 Pro bundles have circulated since spring, but nothing carrying a platform holder’s name has been announced. This section is a verification method, not a prediction: treat every bundle claim you see before an official post as unconfirmed.
Precedent says when an announcement would land if it is coming. Sony announced the Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Pro bundle on September 24, 2018 — a month before that game launched — at $399.99, the same price as a standalone PS4 Pro, which is what made it a real saving. Sony also bundled PS5 with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III for Black Friday 2023 and with Fortnite content in 2024 and 2025, each announced on the PlayStation Blog before it went on sale. On that pattern the GTA 6 window would be roughly late October to early November 2026, and HeistReady is re-checking official sources across that period.
The number that matters in a bundle is not the sticker. It is the sticker minus the current console list price. After the 2026 price changes, a genuine bundle has to clear a much higher bar than it would have two years ago.
- Verify on the platform holder first: blog.playstation.com and direct.playstation.com, or news.xbox.com and xbox.com. A retailer page is second-best; a marketplace listing is not evidence.
- Do the subtraction. PS5 US list prices since April 2, 2026: PS5 Digital Edition $599.99, PS5 $649.99, PS5 Pro $899.99. Xbox raised US console prices again effective August 1, 2026 — up $100 on 512GB models and $150 on 1TB models — and discontinued the 2TB model.
- Check what the game component actually is. Rockstar’s Standard Edition is listed as "Digital or Code in Box", so a bundle will contain a download code rather than a disc.
- A bundle priced at or below the standalone console price is the real signal. A bundle priced at console-plus-$80 is just two products in one box.
As of August 3, 2026 there is no announced GTA 6 console bundle. If that changes it will change on an official PlayStation or Xbox page first, and this section will be updated with the date.
Fake keys and scam patterns during deal week
A discounted GTA 6 "key" cannot be legitimate on either launch platform, and that is the single most useful thing to know going into deal week. GTA 6 releases only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Purchases on both are account-bound entitlements bought through PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or a first-party retailer selling a redeemable code. There is no PC version, so there is no Steam or Rockstar Launcher key to resell, and there is no legitimate grey market for the console versions. Any site advertising a cheap GTA 6 key is describing a product that does not exist.
The scam infrastructure was running well before launch. Malwarebytes documented fake GTA 6 storefronts on June 23, 2026 — professionally built pages using Vice City artwork and AI-generated imagery, selling "VIP Digital Access" for around $250 in Bitcoin, USDT or Ethereum, then issuing fake transaction-verification steps instead of a game. Cryptocurrency is the tell: it is chosen specifically because it cannot be reversed. Phishing runs alongside it, with emails asking you to log in and "confirm" a preorder in order to harvest the account itself.
Deal week amplifies all of this, because a suspiciously low price stops looking suspicious when every other page on the internet is advertising one. The general rules hold: an unusually low price on an expensive item is a warning rather than an opportunity, and a seller who insists on gift cards, wire transfers, payment apps or crypto has chosen those methods because you cannot get the money back.
- "70% off GTA 6" during Black Friday week: not a deal. There is no console key market for it to come from.
- Crypto, gift cards, wire transfer or payment-app-only checkout: stop. No legitimate retailer requires it.
- Emails asking you to log in to "verify" or "confirm" your GTA 6 preorder: phishing. Open the storefront yourself and check your order history there.
- "Beta access", "early download", "VIP access": none of these exist. GTA 6 unlocks for everyone on November 19, 2026.
- Pay by credit card on official storefronts, which preserves the chargeback route that the scam payment methods are designed to remove.
One sentence to carry into deal week: there is no such thing as a cheap GTA 6 key, because there is no such thing as a GTA 6 key.
If you are buying the game anyway: where and which edition
Buy from PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or a first-party retailer, and expect to pay $79.99 or $99.99. Both official US storefronts, checked August 3, 2026, list the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99 with a November 19, 2026 release date on the product page. Xbox shows these as "$79.99+" and "$99.99+" and additionally sells a $20.00 Ultimate Edition Upgrade add-on, which means Xbox buyers who start with Standard can reach Ultimate later for the same total. There is no third price to find and no coupon to wait for.
The edition decision is a content decision, not a value decision. Ultimate adds Rockstar-listed vehicles, weapons, style items, shops and locations. It does not add early access, better performance, or anything that changes how the base game plays — both editions unlock at the same moment on November 19. Where the timing does matter is the November 20 cutoff, which applies to the purchase itself rather than to the edition: order either one before that date and the Vintage Vice City Pack and GTA+ month come with it.
One format note matters if you are buying a boxed copy as a gift during deal week. Rockstar lists Standard as "Digital or Code in Box" and Ultimate as "Digital", and the boxed version reaches shelves on November 12 specifically to support preloading. A boxed copy is a redemption code rather than a playable disc, which changes what resale, lending and account region mean for it.
- Standard Edition: $79.99 — the complete game, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Ultimate Edition: $99.99 — the game plus Rockstar-listed bonus vehicles, weapons, style items, shops and locations.
- Xbox Ultimate Edition Upgrade add-on: $20.00 — converts Standard to Ultimate after purchase.
- Order before November 20, 2026 for the Vintage Vice City Pack and the one-month GTA+ offer listed on official store pages.
- PC: no version announced. Any "GTA 6 PC" listing during deal week is not a real product.
Buying on the official storefront during deal week is also the cheapest fraud protection available: there is nothing to verify because there is no third party in the transaction.
Live deal ledger
This ledger is empty on purpose. HeistReady does not pre-populate deal tables with predicted prices, placeholder rows, or links to products that are not currently discounted, because a ledger containing guesses is worse than no ledger at all — it teaches readers that the numbers on this page are not checked.
From late October 2026 this section becomes the weekly update surface for this page. Each row will carry the product, the retailer, the verified price, the comparison price, and the date HeistReady checked the listing. A row appears only after the price has been confirmed on the retailer’s own product page, and comes down when the price expires rather than staying up as decoration.
Until then, the useful preparation is the work you would do anyway: pick the specific products you want from the gear guides and record their prices now, in August. A price you noted yourself three months early is a far better comparison baseline than a "was" price printed next to a deal badge in November.
- Ledger opens: late October 2026, updated weekly through Cyber Monday on November 30.
- Row format: product / retailer / verified price / comparison price / date checked.
- Inclusion rule: price confirmed on the retailer’s own product page. No marketplace listings, no key resellers, no screenshots.
- Console and bundle rows: added only after an official PlayStation or Xbox announcement.
- GTA 6 game rows: none expected. If one ever appears here it will be sourced to an official storefront page.
Nothing to show yet — and an empty ledger in August is the honest state of a Black Friday page written in August.

FAQs
Will GTA 6 be discounted on Black Friday 2026?
No. GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 and Black Friday is November 27 — eight days later, which is still the launch window. Rockstar has never discounted a major release that close to launch, and record preorder demand removes any reason to start now.
Is GTA 6 on sale for Black Friday?
No. Both US official storefronts list Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99, and neither has announced any Black Friday promotion on the game. The discounts that week will be on consoles, TVs, storage and accessories instead.
Is there a GTA 6 Black Friday deal at all?
Not on the game itself. The realistic GTA 6 Black Friday deals are hardware: PS5 and Xbox consoles, 4K/120Hz TVs, NVMe drives and Xbox expansion cards, headsets and controllers. A console deal that week is the biggest saving actually available to a GTA 6 buyer.
How much will GTA 6 cost on Black Friday?
The same as launch day: $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate on US official storefronts. Xbox also sells a $20.00 Ultimate Edition Upgrade add-on. Budget the full price and treat any lower figure advertised that week as a scam signal.
Should I wait until Black Friday to buy GTA 6?
No, and waiting actively costs you something. Preorders and purchases before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack and a free month of GTA+; Black Friday is November 27, a week after that window closes. You would pay the same price and get less.
Do I lose the GTA 6 preorder bonus if I wait for Black Friday?
Yes. Rockstar’s Newswire states that all pre-orders and purchases before November 20 get the Vintage Vice City Pack, and the PlayStation game page repeats that date. Black Friday 2026 falls seven days later, so a Black Friday purchase misses the bonus entirely.
Will GTA 6 be cheaper on Cyber Monday?
No. Cyber Monday is November 30, 2026 — eleven days after launch. Cyber Monday usually repeats Black Friday pricing rather than beating it, and neither event has ever produced a launch-window discount on a Rockstar title.
Will there be a GTA 6 PS5 bundle for Black Friday?
None is announced as of August 3, 2026 in any official PlayStation, Xbox or Rockstar source. A bundle is plausible — Sony announced a Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Pro bundle a month before that launch — but verify any bundle on the platform holder’s own page before paying.
Will the PS5 be cheaper on Black Friday 2026?
Likely discounted, but from a higher starting point. Sony raised US list prices effective April 2, 2026 to $649.99 for PS5, $599.99 for the Digital Edition and $899.99 for PS5 Pro. For reference, Sony took $100 off every model for Black Friday 2025.
Will Xbox Series X be cheaper on Black Friday 2026?
Possibly, but note that Microsoft raised US console prices effective August 1, 2026 — up $100 on 512GB models and $150 on 1TB models, with the 2TB model discontinued. Xbox ran $50 off Series X and Series S in both 2023 and 2024.
When do Black Friday 2026 deals actually start?
Earlier than November 27. PlayStation went live seven days before Black Friday in 2023, 2024 and 2025, which points to about November 20, 2026. Amazon’s 2025 Black Friday Week opened eight days early, which in 2026 maps to GTA 6 launch day itself.
Someone is selling GTA 6 for 70% off — is it real?
No. GTA 6 is PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, both account-bound purchases with no PC version and no legitimate key market. Malwarebytes documented fake GTA 6 storefronts taking crypto payments in June 2026, and crypto-only checkout remains the clearest scam tell.

Rebuilt from one section to seven and from three FAQs to twelve. Added the November 20, 2026 preorder-bonus cutoff — sourced to Rockstar’s June 24, 2026 Newswire post and repeated on the PlayStation game page — which falls a week before Black Friday and was missing from the page entirely. Added the 2026 PS5 and Xbox list-price increases, the seven-day Black Friday sale-timing pattern, and an empty live deal ledger that opens in late October. Reframed console bundles from expected to unannounced: none is confirmed by any Rockstar, PlayStation or Xbox source.
